My bathing habits...

First, you should know, I enjoy a nice cold beer every now and then... and sometimes even more frequently... okay, I drink beer quite often, but that has nothing to do with this story. 

Anyway, the joy of a delicious brew has led to me discovering that a cold carbonation and hot steam are a very nice combination and can make for a really enjoyable shower time. My wife can't quite grasp this concept, so I tried to explain it with an analogy I thought she would understand a little better.

I started with the question, "Honey, wouldn't you consider it relaxing to draw a nice warm bubble bath and melt down into the tub with a nice glass of wine?" Of course, she agreed that this would be a great way to spend the evening and could be even further enhanced with a risque novel! So, I continues, "Then doesn't it make sense that for me, having a beer in the shower would bring the same euphoric effects?"

Apparently I overlooked the fact that in no way is beer every to be compared to wine.

So, I lost the hope of ever convincing her that my tactics, while widely accepted by others (they even have products like the Shakoolie to assist in your endeavors) , are anything but foolish. Well, we'll see who has the last laugh! Actually, I'll just continue to enjoy my shower beer in solitude. After all, I usually shower late at night after she has already headed to bed, so she'll never know! Except for the fact that I'm a sloppy man and tend to forget the empty beer can in the shower. Come to think of it, I think this is what started the discussion in the first place. That's right, she didn't ask me why I liked to drink beer in the shower, she asked me why I can't throw my $@#$%ing can in the recyclables when I'm done with it. Oh well...

Join me next week when I attempt to convince my wife that we would save a ton of time and energy if everyone ate while sitting on the toilet. Come on, it's common sense people!
